In February the UCLG World Secretariat welcomes the Habitat III Secretariat to Barcelona, with a view to the preparations for the United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, to be held in Quito from 17 - 20 October 2016.
"It is a great pleasure for UCLG to create a space for the Habitat III Secretariat, given the great importance of this process for our organization and the Global Task Force (GTF), as facilitators for the representation of local and regional governments” The UCLG Secretary General said. "It is a great honour for us to welcome Rosa Surinach and it will be our pleasure to assist her during her stay whilst strengthening the ties between our organisations".
