RECRUITMENT OF EXPERT TO DEVELOP INDICATORS ON DECENTRALIZATION AND LOCAL DEMOCRACY

Deadline for applications: 11 March 2011

Building on the Global Reports on Decentralization and Local Democracy (GOLD I and II), the UCLG World Secretariat, jointly with ASPAC, FLACMA and UCLG Africa and in partnership with EALGA, and the Local Governments Associations of West Africa, is developing a project co-financed by the European Union to support the decentralization process and Local Government dialogues with institutions of regional integration in Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Thought this project and in order to strengthen the work of the GOLD Observatory, UCLG proposes the development of a survey to collect the vision of local government with regard to the situation of local authorities in the world. Based on this survey we would like to build a system of indicators that will eventually be put in place in different countries.

UCLG is currently looking for an expert to develop the survey system and indicators. The Terms of Reference outlining the type of expertise we are looking for can be found in the links below.  The deadline for submissions of proposals is the 11 March 2011. If this project is of interest to, you please communicate with the UCLG World Secretariat for more information.
