The International seminar of local governments for the Right to the City will take place in Mexico City, co-organized by the Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights and Mexico City.
This seminar aims at exchanging concrete experiences between local governments to move forward the right to the city and strengthening the network of local governments committed to fair, democratic, inclusive and sustainable cities. This is also an opportunity to enhance strategic alliances between local governments, civil society and academic sector, towards the definition of the New Global Urban Agenda (UN-Habitat Summit, Quito, 2016).
The first 2015 biannual meeting of the Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights will also be held on this occasion, with the election of new co-presidents and the adoption of the 2015 action plan.
