The 5th EU-Africa Summit, taking place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast (28-29 November 2017). On the eve of this event, European and African local leaders will gather in the first ever Africa – Europe Local Government Forum in Abidjan on 27 November 2017 to share their messages and put the local dimension on the agenda of EU-Africa Summit.
The Forum will address key issues of economic development, youth empowerment, migration, human mobility, climate change and access to energy. The meeting will showcase the contributions of subnational governments to sustainable development and will contribute to the 5th EU-Africa Summit with concrete proposals how to make local & regional governments part of the joint EU-Africa strategies.
