The 12th International Conference on Urban Health (ICUH 2015) is one of the largest urban health conferences globally for exchanging ideas and opinions among urban health professionals. This initiative gathers different academics, policy makers, implementers, and communities to discuss effective and applicable results on the interactions of the urban development for attaining health equity in urban settings.
ICUH 2015 will be the first International Conference on Urban Health in Asia. Bangladesh Urban Health Network, Eminence, International Society of Urban Health and New York Academy of Medicine are very delighted to take on this national and global leadership role to advance the generation, exchange and application of high quality urban health knowledge.
ICUH will gather scientists, practitioners, policy makers and community organizations across disciplines and geographic boundaries (high and low-income settings), to exchange ideas and advance research and practice that promote the health of individuals who are in urban regions and breaking down socioeconomic barriers to urban health access. The conference aims to promote trans disciplinary and collaborative research, policy, and interventions, to foster international discussion of urban health challenges, to build networks among individuals engaged in urban health and design for healthy cities, and to promote the understanding of the impact of urban areas on health and behavior. ICUH 2015 will emphasize on the inclusion of urban health priorities in the post-2015 development agenda.
